Louisville will hold its 2017 Red-White spring game at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.

The annual intrasquad scrimmage will be broken up into two teams – Red and White – and be held on Saturday, April 15. A Kickoff time and television broadcast have not yet been announced.

Admission has been free to the public in the past.

For Louisville, it will be its eighth spring game under coach Bobby Petrino across two stints. Last year, it drew 16,221 fans.

The Red team defeated the White team, 73-7, in the 2016 Red-White spring game behind later Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson’s 519 passing yards and eight touchdown passes.

Louisville announced its 2017 Red-White spring game when it released the full list of its spring practice schedule on Feb. 10. Last year, the school held a day-long Fan Fest celebration.

Louisville is coming off a season in which it went 9-4. The Cardinals went 8-5 (2015), 9-4 (2014), 12-1 (2006), 9-3 (2005), 11-1 (2004) and 9-4 (2003) during Petrino’s first six seasons as coach.
