A post-spring practice look at the preseason top 25 for 2017


We’re in early May, which means we are about four months from the first real game of the 2017 season.

But when it comes to college football, it’s never too early to look ahead. Thus, this post-spring practice version of the 2017 preseason top 25.

And away we go …

25. UCLA

Last season: 4-8.
Opening game: September 2 vs. Texas A&M.
The skinny: The return of QB Josh Rosen, who missed six games last season with a shoulder injury, provides hope – a lot of it. Rosen is a big-timer whose return should provide a giant spark on both sides of the ball. Coach Jim Mora shook up his offensive staff, and Rosen is a nice building block.
