The UAB Blazers have had their full 2017 football schedule released.
The Blazers will open the season Sept. 2 against Alabama A&M at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama.
After non-conference games against Ball State on Sept. 9 and Coastal Carolina on Sept. 16, UAB will play at North Texas in its Conference USA opener on Sept. 23. The Blazers will play Louisiana Tech in their Conference USA home opener on Oct. 7.
UAB will have its bye week Sept. 30 between the at North Texas (Sept. 23) and Louisiana Tech (Oct. 7) games. The Blazers will close out the regular season against UTEP on Nov. 25.
The Conference USA championship game will be held Dec. 2 and hosted by the team with the highest Conference USA winning percentage. Western Kentucky won last year’s title.
The Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will serve as the two College Football Playoff semifinal locations and the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will serve as the national championship game location.
