2017 Vanderbilt Commodores football schedule: Games and dates

The Vanderbilt Commodores have had their full 2017 football schedule released.

The Commodores will open the season Sept. 2 at Middle Tennessee at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

After two home non-conference matchups against Alabama A&M and Kansas State on Sept. 9 and Sept. 16, Vanderbilt will play Alabama in its SEC opener on Sept. 23. The Commodores will play at Florida in their SEC road opener on Sept. 30.

Vanderbilt will have its bye week Oct. 21 between the at Ole Miss (Oct. 14) and South Carolina (Oct. 28) games. The Commodores will close out the regular season at Tennessee on Nov. 25.

The SEC championship game will be held Dec. 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will serve as the two College Football Playoff semifinal locations and the Mercedes-Benz Stadium will serve as the national championship game location.
