Before the 2017 College Football Playoff national championship was even played, Alabama already was the favorite to win it all in 2018.
According to odds released by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook on Monday before its College Football Playoff national championship rematch against Clemson, the Crimson Tide is the outright betting favorite to win it all next season at 3/1.
Florida State (7/1), Oklahoma, Ohio State (8/1) and USC (8/1) round out the top five behind the Crimson Tide. Clemson is at 18/1 odds.
Among SEC schools, LSU is the next closest behind Alabama at 12/1. Louisville and Michigan also share the same odds.
Auburn (30/1), Georgia (40/1), Florida (50/1) and Tennessee (50/1) are the next closest in the SEC.
The rest of the SEC is well off from the top in terms of odds:
Ole Miss: 100/1
Texas A&M: 100/1
Mississippi State: 300/1
South Carolina: 300/1
