LSU has now reached double-digit commitments for its 2018 recruiting class.
On Saturday, unranked offensive lineman Cole Smith became the Tigers’ 10th commitment when he announced on Twitter that he has pledged to the program.

“Extremely Honored and blessed to announce I’ve been offered and I’ve committed to Louisiana State University!!” Smith wrote.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Smith, from Pontotoc (Miss.) High, was on an unofficial visit to LSU when he received the offer and made his commitment. He chose the Tigers over offers from Oregon and eight other schools.
Currently, 247Sports ranks LSU’s 2018 recruiting class No. 4 nationally, including first in the SEC. The Tigers’ 2017 class finished No. 7 in the nation.
