“First off I would like to thank every University who took a chance on me to be apart of their program to have a full ride Scholarship,” Brown wrote. “I would also like to thank My parents, Coach Rosegreen and Coach Davis rest of my Coches for making me a better player and a better Person.
“This Decision and recruiting process was very tough. After talking to Coach (Mark) stoops, Coach (Eddie) gran, Coach (Steve) Clink (Clinkscale, I will be committing to University of Kentucky. #BBN”
Brown (6 feet 3, 180 pounds), from Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely, is one of the nation’s top-75 cornerbacks in the 2018 class.
He chose the Wildcats over Auburn. He also had about a dozen other offers, including SEC progreams Mississippi State and South Carolina.
Brown committed to the Wildcats less than 48 hours after another south Florida prospect, cornerback Stanley Garner of Fort Lauderdale Dillard, also chose Kentucky.
With Brown’s commitment, the Wildcats now have 18 players on board in the 2018 class, including five from Florida.
