Five-star wide receiver Jadon Haselwood committed to Georgia on Thursday.

Haselwood, a class of 2019 prospect from Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, made his announcement in a video produced by SEC Country.

“Georgia boys got to stay home,” Haselwood said in the video. “Commit to the G.”

Haselwood, currently a sophomore in high school, chose the Bulldogs over finalists Alabama, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Georgia wide receivers coach James Coley, Haselwood’s primary recruiter, tweeted his excitement about the commitment.

Haselwood has made at least two unofficial visits to Georgia, including one as recently as February. He was offered by the Bulldogs in May 2016.

Haselwood, according to 247Sports, is the No. 2 wide receiver, as well as the No. 10 prospect nationally and the No. 3 prospect in Georgia, in the 2019 recruiting class.

With Haselwood’s commitment, Georgia has four commitments in its 2019 class, which ranks No. 1 nationally. Five-star defensive end Nolan Smith, four-star offensive tackle Luke Griffin and defensive tackle Rashad Cheney also are committed.

Comparatively, the Bulldogs only have three commitments thus far in its 2018 class, which ranks No. 21 nationally (No. 6 in the SEC).
