Alabama and Florida State open the season against each other in less than four months, but that’s not stopping star players from each school from apparently working out with each other.
Both Crimson Tide running back Bo Scarbrough and Seminoles safety Derwin James shared photos Thursday on Instagram of the encounter. It’s unclear where the workout took place.
Both Scarbrough, a junior, and James, a redshirt sophomore, are coming off injury from last season. Scarbrough broke his leg in Alabama’s national championship loss to Clemson in January, while James suffered a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee last September that caused him to miss the remainder of the season and redshirt.
Both Scarbrough and James were five-star recruits coming out of high school.
Alabama and Florida State will open the season in the potential top-two matchup at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sept. 2.
