Three-star running back Anthony Grant, one of the top-25 running backs nationally, has been offered by six SEC programs.

Grant has been offered by Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee from the SEC, and he singled out two of those.

“I like how they’re tough and physical, and I like how their offense runs,” Grant said regarding Florida. “I feel like I could fit there.”

He also likes the environment in Knoxville.

“The atmosphere there is just great,” he said. “I really like their coaching staff as well.”

Grant (5 feet 11, 190 pounds), from Buford (Ga.) High, says he would love a chance to play in the SEC. “It would be nice to play in the SEC because I grew up watching SEC football,” he said.

He has more than 20 offers overall.

“I have some schools standing out to me right now,” Grant said. “Florida, they just offered me and I have liked them for a while. Some other schools standing out right now are Tennessee, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and North Carolina State.”

Grant’s name has been a hot one on the recruiting trail. Since the beginning of April, Grant has been offered by Arkansas, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech. His most recent offer came from Florida on May 17.

“The strength of my game is that I can do a lot of things,” Grant said. “I can catch, and I feel like I have runaway speed. I can also drop my shoulders if I need to. I feel like I can run north-to-south as well. I just feel like I can do anything.”

Grant is looking for a couple of things in his college destination.

“I want to have a chance for some early playing time and I want a school that has a family-type atmosphere,” he said.

Like most highly recruited prospects, Grant will have a busy travel schedule this summer.

“I’m going to try and visit North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida and then Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi State in the next few months,” he said. “I plan on committing before my senior season starts, sometime in the next three or four months.”
