Arkansas will host Kent State in its 2020 season opener, the school announced Friday.
The game will be played Sept. 5, 2020 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
It will be the first meeting between the two programs. The Razorbacks have played three other current MAC schools.
With Kent State included, Arkansas now has two of four non-conference games scheduled for the 2020 season. It was announced Thursday by the school that it would play at Notre Dame on Sept. 12 in the first game of a home-and-home series.
Arkansas already has completed its non-conference slate for the 2018 season and needs one more game for 2019.
Kent State is coached by former Arkansas defensive coordinator Paul Haynes, who spent the 2012 season with the Razorbacks before taking over in his current position in 2013. In four seasons, he has gone 12-35, including a 3-9 mark in 2016.
Kent State has played six other SEC schools – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and South Carolina – in its history. The Golden Flashes fell 48-0 at Alabama in its most recent SEC matchup last season.
