It’s Tigers vs. Tigers, and in this SEC West contest, it’s hard for anyone to really know what to expect.

Auburn’s offense has started clicking after a sluggish start, and Kerryon Johnson’s dizzying touchdown rate has fans on the Plains dreaming of threatening Alabama. LSU’s offense isn’t clicking at all, but Ed Orgeron’s squad still managed to top Florida in Gainesville thanks to a missed extra point. That’s something they can’t count on from Auburn’s Daniel Carlson, who booted six field goals when the teams played in 2016.

It’s hard to believe now, but the SEC West rivals did not meet at all from 1943-68 and then again from 1982-87. LSU leads the overall series and has won seven of the past 10 matchups, but Gus Malzahn’s Tigers came out on top 18-13 last year in a weird, wild game that was the final game for Les Miles.
