Pickens, from Hoover (Ala.) High, picked the Tigers over offers from Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Jacksonville State and Mississippi State. He received his offer from Auburn on June 17 after attending a camp at the school.
Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner and wide receivers coach Kodi Burns are Pickens’ primary and secondary recruiters for the Tigers.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Pickens is ranked by 247Sports Composite as a top-20 wide receiver in his class, as well as a top-five overall prospect in Alabama and top-110 overall prospect in the nation.
Auburn has eight commitments in its 2018 class, which 247Sports currently ranks No. 44 in the nation and No. 10 in the SEC.
