Three-star offensive lineman Beaux Limmer committed to Arkansas earlier this month, and he says his recruitment is over.

“I have already told several of the schools that were still contacting me that I am committed to Arkansas and I’m not going to be able to come to any of their junior days or practices,” he told GN.

Limmer (6 feet 5, 270 pounds), from Tyler (Texas) Robert E. Lee, committed to Arkansas over, among others, Baylor, Houston and Oklahoma State.

“Honestly, it was a pretty easy decision,” Limmer said. “I went up there and watched them practice and they showed me around. After the practice was over, they told me to stay behind so they could talk to me. That’s when they gave me the offer.

“So, when I walked out of there, that’s when I told my parents that this is the place I want to go. I really loved the campus and the facilities and everything. Plus, Coach (Chad) Morris and his staff seem like they are going to be a really good fit for me.”

Limmer said he thinks highly of Morris.

“I had gone to his camp at SMU last year, so I had a little exposure to him and what he is all about,” Limmer said. “But I really hadn’t talked with him or anything before that. My high school head coach knows him real well, and he had nothing but good things to say about Coach Morris.”

While Limmer plays offensive tackle in high school, he said the plan is to move him inside at Arkansas. “The coaching staff there sees me as more of an interior lineman, at either guard or center,” he said.

Playing on the interior fits with Limmer’s style of play.

“I like finishing people; I don’t like just letting them off easy,” he said. “I also think I have really good footwork. If there is one thing I need to work on, and I will this spring, it’s my hand placement. That’s going to be my main focus to work on this spring.”

Limmer joins three-star athlete Malik Chavis as 2019 prospects who have committed to Arkansas this month.
