4-star DT Bobby Brown flips from Alabama to Texas A&M

Bobby Brown.

Good news in College Station: For the first hour-plus of National Signing Day, it’s officially Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M 1, Nick Saban and Alabama 0.

The Aggies got a major pickup on National Signing Day when four-star defensive tackle Bobby Brown flipped from Alabama to sign with A&M, where he had originally committed last year.

Brown, a 6-foot-4, 282-pound prospect from Arlington (Texas) Lamar, is ranked as a top-20 prospect nationally at defensive tackle.

He had first committed to the Aggies before flipping to the Crimson Tide in December, but once signing day came around, he changed back to his original pick.

That signing further strengthens the interior of the A&M defensive front, which should be among the very best in the SEC – or anywhere – in 2018.

He is from the same hometown as former Aggies great Myles Garrett; Garrett attended Arlington’s Martin High, which is Lamar High’s main rival.
