“I want to take this time to thank my savior and Father in Heaven for the many blessings he has bestowed upon me,” Fehoko wrote. “He has been there and has guided me throughout my lifetime and without his counsel I never knew where I’d be.
“To my family, loved ones, & mentors I thank you for guiding me throughout this process & providing comfort. I want to thank Texas Tech again for two amazing seasons and the opportunity to develop relationships and the platform they provided me to touch the lives of others.
“I want to thank every single coach that has reached out and provided me and (sic) opportunity as well as developed a relationship with me through this process. Relationships like this last a lifetime. Not many individuals have this opportunity and I am fortunate enough to have it.
“With that being said I am blessed to say that I look forward to furthering my education and athletics at The Louisiana State University!”
Fehoko will have to sit out the coming season in accordance with NCAA rules, but he’ll be eligible to join the Tigers in 2018 with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Fehoko signed with Texas Tech in 2015 as a four-star prospect from Honolulu Farrington. At 6-foot-3 and 287 pounds, he will be expected to give the Tigers plenty of needed bulk on the defensive front.
He started 25 games during his career at Texas Tech.
