With 15 offers from all over the country, three-star wide receiver C.J. Bolar is still feeling things out with his recruitment.
“I don’t have any favorites right now,” Bolar told GN. “I’m just trying to soak everything in and play it by ear at the moment.”
Bolar (6 feet 2, 186 pounds), from Purvis (Miss.) High, is a top-100 wide receiver prospect nationally and a top-10 overall recruit in Mississippi for the class of 2018.
“I’m loving it and I’m blessed for the opportunity,” Bolar said of the recruiting process. “I like how me being from a small town (Purvis has a population of about 2,100) and coaches from pretty much all over know my name. That’s crazy to me.”

Bolar, who thus far has been offered by Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt from the SEC, knows exactly what he is looking for in a college destination.
“I really want to have a good relationship with the coaching staff,” Bolar said. “I’d like to have a chance not to just start early, but to be able to compete for a job. I also want to get the best out of my academics.”
So, how would Bolar describe his game?
“I think I have good breakout speed, great hands and I can make people miss,” he said. “I’m also not afraid of contact.”
Bolar, like many wide receivers at the high school level, really looks up to one NFL wide receiver in particular.
“Julio Jones because he’s a monster and a go-getter,” Bolar said. “He’s a playmaker and any time he gets the ball in his hands, he always makes something positive out of it.”
The offers continue to come in for Bolar, who has been offered by Massachusetts and Tennessee in the past three weeks.
