Can David Reese be the next in a long line of standout Gator linebackers?

David Reese

Jarrad Davis 2013-2016

In his four-year career in Gainesville, Davis totaled over 200 tackles including 20 tackles for loss and 5.5 quarterback sacks. Coming to Florida as a three-star prospect, Davis surpassed all expectations.
Davis was drafted in the first-round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.

The big question now is can David Reese join this list of elite Gator linebackers?

Reese has totaled 151 tackles including 12 tackles for loss in just two years playing largely a support role. That won’t be the case this season where his play will need to be front and center.

Reese is vital to what the Gators hope to accomplish on defense in 2018.
