The Gators now sit at 6-3, a far cry from the 6-1 mark they enjoyed just one week ago.
Dan Mullen’s first-year at Florida to this point is still a success. Becoming bowl eligible and finding the team ranked in the top-10 at one point were huge accomplishments. But, it appears the Gators peaked to soon. If the Missouri game is any indication, this could be a long November in Gainesville.
If Florida turns things back around and beats South Carolina next week, fans will still feel good about the direction of the program. If Muschamp rolls into Gainesville and beats the Gators the way Missouri did on Saturday, that will do much more to dampen the spirits of what appeared to be a very promising 2018.
