A report says David Marmion, the executive senior associate athletic director at Texas, has been named chief financial officer for the College Football Playoff.

ESPN.com reported that Marmion has been hired to replace Reid Sigmon, who left to become the executive associate athletic director at Tennessee.

Marmion had been at Texas since May 2012. Before that, he was senior associate athletic director at Wake Forest, his alma mater, for 11 years, and he also worked at Florida State.

The College Football Playoff is entering its fourth season of existence. This season’s 2018 national championship game will be played at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
