Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis will be able to play in Sunday’s Super Bowl 50 against the Denver Broncos despite a broken forearm, it was announced Saturday. He will wear a protective cast on the arm.
Davis, a former Georgia Bulldogs standout, has beem a full participant in practice all week.
Davis broke his arm when trying to make a tackle on Arizona Cardinals tight end Daniel Fells. Davis had a procedure on the arm to insert a plate to speed up the recovery time.
Davis has said all along he would play on Super Bowl Sunday.
