How does LSU’s Arden Key stack up at the next level? One top national draft analyst feels he has the ability to be able to follow in the footsteps of a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

NFL Media draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah compared Key to Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, part of his “First Look” series on elite 2018 draft prospects.

“Key isn’t a perfect player, but he has all of the tools to dominate as a pass rusher,” Jeremiah wrote. “Teams account for him with extra blockers, but he still finds a way to generate pressure.”

Jeremiah said Key has less explosiveness but better pass-rushing instincts than 2017 No. 1 pick Myles Garrett from Texas A&M, saying his skill set can be compared to that of Taylor’s. Taylor had 139.5 career sacks, seventh-most in NFL history, and was a three-time first-team All-Pro selection.

Taylor earned election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February.

Taylor was listed at 6 feet 6 and 255 pounds; Key is 6-foot-6 and recently said he weighed about 255 pounds.
