Apparently when an NFL player holds a garage sale, people will come.

Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy held one Friday in Green Bay and it drew a big crowd. At least some people came from places as far away as Michigan and Denver to check it out.

Lacy had almost everything imaginable up for sale, too, from clothing to furniture and even used body wash.

Aside from a six-piece sectional couch, everything was sold Friday for a sale that had been scheduled for both Friday and Saturday. The couch was sold Saturday morning.

Lacy, who spent the past four seasons with the Green Bay Packers, held the sale at his home in De Pere, Wisconsin because he’s moving after signing with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason.

All proceeds for the sale will be going to charity. Though no items apparently remained by the end of the sale, any ones that did would have gone to the Freedom House, a shelter for homeless families in Green Bay.

Lacy himself was not at the sale; he postponed the original garage sale dates of Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 because he said he couldn’t get to Green Bay in time for it.

Lacy’s sale was even covered by ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” which did a short feature on it.
