Florida apparently trying to flip 4-star WR Malik Heath, a Mississippi State commitment

Malik Heath

Four-star wide receiver Malik Heath has been committed to Mississippi State since April 2016, but could he follow the Bulldogs’ former coach to Florida?

Heath, who was Dan Mullen’s first commitment for Mississippi State’s 2018 class, has sent out some interesting tweets in the past 24 hours.

The second tweet features Heath with Billy Gonzales, who apparently will be Florida’s wide receivers coach; he held that same role with Mississippi State, and also is a former receivers coach at Florida under Urban Meyer.

Heath (6 feet 3, 205 pounds), from Jackson (Miss.) Callaway, is the top-ranked recruit in Mississippi for the 2018 recruiting cycle and a top-200 prospect nationally

Heath also has SEC offers from Alabama, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee along with Florida and Mississippi State.

Mullen making Heath a priority is not a surprise. Florida is hurting at wide receiver in its 2018 recruiting class after the recent decommitments of four-star prospects Ja’Marr Chase and Jacob Copeland. Flipping a talent like Heath would help make up for those losses.
