In the fall of 2015, Florida opened a $17 million indoor football practice facility. A $60 million stand-alone football complex is in the planning stage with a projected completion in the summer of 2019.

The Gators’ recent facilities spending spree goes well beyond the football program.

The summer of 2016 saw an $18 million academic success center open for all student-athletes. Sixty-six million dollars was spent by the athletic department on upgrades to the O’Connell Center. Athletic dorms have been upgraded. A total of $100 million will be spent in the next few years on department-wide improvements which will also bring major face-lifts to the baseball and softball stadiums.

I recently had the opportunity to look around the UF campus at what’s new and what’s coming.
