Florida loses commitment from 3-star CB Divaad Wilson

Divaad Wilson

Florida picked up a commitment Wednesday night, but lost one Thursday when three-star cornerback Divaad Wilson re-opened his recruitment.

Wilson (6 feet 0, 180 pounds), from Miami Northwestern, originally committed to Florida in February; his main recruiter was Randy Shannon, who was not retained by new UF coach Dan Mullen.

Wilson took official visits to Alabama and South Carolina during the season, and has an official visit scheduled for Louisville in mid-December.

He was one of two cornerback commitments for UF; the other is Nigel Bethel, who is the other starting cornerback at Northwestern. Bethel committed after Jim McElwain was fired, but his main recruiter was Shannon and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Bethel also re-opened his recruitment.
