With ACC Media Days taking place this week, the conference released a hype video counting down the remainder of the offseason. While the video release is normal, the content has been questioned. The ACC basically left Florida State out of the 51-second video.
Since joining the league in 1992, Florida State has more often than not been the ACC’s best team. The Seminoles have won 15 conference championships and three national titles during that period, all the while serving as the face of the ACC. Although Clemson has come on strong recently, Florida State remains the biggest football brand in the ACC.
So how did the ACC omit the Seminoles from its preseason video? Aside from a very short clip of Jimbo Fisher shaking hands with Miami coach Mark Richt, the video shows nothing related to FSU football.
Derwin James didn’t merit as much as one second in the ACC video.

Not surprisingly, Seminoles fans and players were outraged by the snub. One player in particular, defensive end Janarius Robinson, saw the video as disrespectful.
😱😱😱total DISRESPECT! 😈 https://t.co/f2df6wyxv4

If FSU fans can find a positive from the video, it’s that oversight will surely provide them motivation to prove the ACC wrong this season.
