It probably isn’t hard to guess which Florida coaching legend is getting a plaque installed at Steve Spurrier-Florida Field.

The school is installing a College Football Hall of Fame plaque in honor of Spurrier the coach on a brick wall outside the Gators’ stadium. The athletic department has set up a Periscope feed to enable fans to watch the work unfold live.

Spurrier, who coached the Gators from 1990-2001 and won the national championship in 1996, was elected to the Hall for his coaching career in January.

He already was in the Hall of Fame as a player for his Gators career in the mid-1960s, a run that culminated with winning the Heisman Trophy in 1966.

Spurrier is only the fourth man elected as both a player and coach. He joins Amos Alonzo Stagg, Bobby Dodd and Bowden Wyatt in the select list of double honorees.
