“One of the things I pride myself on is that I’m a polished passer,” he said. “I’m a true quarterback that can step back and throw the rock and I can also scamper if I really need to. I’m just a guy that goes through his progressions, knows where to go with the ball pre-snap, knows what coverage he’s seeing and knows if he needs to check out of things.
“I also like to pride myself on my work ethic. I’m just going to keep on getting better from here.”
Now that he is committed, is Hilinski wrapping up his recruitment?
“I’m pretty much done,” he said. “There are a couple schools that are still talking to me and trying to get me to flip, but I’m pretty much sold on South Carolina.”
Hilinski had this message for the South Carolina fan base.
“Look for me to be that guy for you guys and I’m going to try to be the face for South Carolina here in the upcoming years.”
The Gamecocks currently have nine commitments for their 2019 recruiting class. Those nine commitments have come from six different states proving Will Muschamp and his staff can attract talent from all over the country.
