Gators jump up SEC Power Rankings after upsetting Mississippi State

6. Texas A&M (3-2)

Last week’s result: Defeated Arkansas 24-17

Jashaun Corbin gave the Aggies the early lead after taking the first kickoff of the game back 100 yards for a touchdown. Trayveon Williams had 29 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

This week: vs. Kentucky, 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

5. Kentucky (5-0)

Last week’s ranking: 5

Last week’s result: Defeated South Carolina 24-10

The Wildcats scored three rushing touchdowns from three different rushers, Benny Snell, Terry Wilson and Asim Rose. Kentucky held South Carolina to 321 yards of total offense while forcing Jake Bentley into three interceptions.

This week: at Texas A&M, 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

4. Auburn (4-1)

Last week’s ranking: 4

Last week’s result: Defeated Southern Miss 24-13.

Jarrett Stidam threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns while Kam Martin added 24 carries for 90 yards. Auburn held the Golden Eagles to 2-of-13 on third downs.

This week: at Mississippi State, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN 2.

3. LSU (5-0)

Last week’s ranking: 3

Last week’s result: Defeated Ole Miss 45-16

Joe Burrow was 18-of-25 for 292 yards and three touchdowns. Burrow also led all rushers with nine carries for 96 yards and a touchdown.

This week: at Florida, 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

2. Georgia

Last week’s ranking: 2

Last week’s result: Defeated Tennessee 38-12

Freshman quarterback Justin Fields provided an offensive spark for the Bulldogs as he had five rushes for 45 yards and two touchdowns. The Bulldogs finished with 251 yards rushing and five rushing touchdowns on the day.

This week: vs. Vanderbilt, 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

1. Alabama

Last week’s result: Defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 56-14

Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones all had touchdown passes as they combined to go 13-of-16 for 340 yards and four touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle had a punt returned for a touchdown and also caught three passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

This week: at Arkansas in Fayetteville, 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
