The Florida Gators are beginning to pick up serious momentum on the 2019 recruiting trail. Monday, the Gators added a commitment from a four-star offensive tackle and on Thursday afternoon, the Gators added their second commitment of the week when four-star cornerback Jaydon Hill announced his intentions to head to Gainesville.
Hill, (6-foot, 174 pounds) from Madison (AL) Bob Jones, is considered among the top 30 cornerbacks in the country and is also a top 275 overall talent nationally. Hill had offers from all over the country, including Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
Hill becomes the eighth four-star commitment for the Gators 2019 class.
The positive momentum for Florida started back on August 2 when the Gators received a commitment from linebacker Diwun Black (Kissimmee, FL) who de-committed from Ole Miss and committed to Florida on the same day. Since Black’s commitment, Florida has secured an additional four commitments, including the one from Hill on Thursday.
Hill joins three-star Chester Kimbrough (New Orleans) as the two cornerbacks committed to Florida’s 2019 class.
With the recent additions, the Gators have now moved inside the Top 20 and currently are ranked No.18 nationally in the 247sports.com recruiting rankings for 2019.
