Georgia’s prosperous July move Dawgs recruiting class back into Top 5

The Georgia Bulldogs are currently one of the hottest teams in the country on the 2019 recruiting trail. Kirby Smart has added three commitments to his 2019 class in the past two weeks. Those recent additions have moved the Bulldogs back into having a current top-five recruiting class nationally.

Here is a look at the three newest additions to the Georgia 2019 class.

Defensive Lineman Zion Logue

The particulars: Logue, (6-foot-5, 287 pounds) from Lebanon (TN) High, committed to Georgia on July 15.

The skinny: Logue is considered to be a three-star prospect and among the top 45 strong side ends in the country. Logue committed to Georgia over offers from Alabama, Florida, Louisville, Ole Miss, Tennessee and many others.

Logue joins five-star defensive end Nolan Smith (Bradenton, FL) and four-star defensive end Bill Norton (Memphis, TN) as the three current defensive line commitments for the Bulldogs in 2019.

Offensive Lineman Warren McClendon

The particulars: McClendon, (6-foot-4, 318 pounds) from Brunswick (GA) High, committed to Georgia on July 16.

The skinny: A four-star talent, McClendon is among the top 30 offensive tackle prospects in the country and is also considered a top 250 overall recruit nationally in the class of 2019. McClendon committed to Georgia over offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and many others.

McClendon joins four-star offensive tackle Xavier Truss (Warwick, RI) as the two current offensive linemen in this Georgia 2019 recruiting class.

Defensive Lineman Travon Walker

The particulars: Walker, (6-foot-5, 272 pounds) from Thomaston (GA) Upson-Lee, committed to Georgia on July 24.

The skinny: A five-star talent, Walker is considered to be among the top defensive tackles in the country and he is also a top 30 overall prospect in the class of 2019. Walker had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU and many others before deciding to remain in-state and commit to Georgia.

Walker joins wide receivers Jadon Hazelwood (Ellenwood, GA) and Dominick Blaylock (Marietta, GA) along with defensive end Nolan Smith (Bradenton, FL) as the current five-star prospects in this Georgia 2019 class according to

The Bulldogs now sit at 13 commitments for 2019. Those 13 commitments have come from five different states, proving the wide range Georgia has to attract talent on the recruiting trail.
