Great start to 2019 recruiting cycle for Vols: Tennessee adds 4-star guard Jackson Lampley

One day after National Signing Day for 2018, Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee picked up a big piece to their recruiting puzzle for the 2019 class.

Four-star guard Jackson Lampley committed to the Vols for the 2019 class Thursday, announcing his decision on Twitter:

Lampley, a 6-4, 299-pound guard, attends Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy. He is ranked among the nation’s top 10 guards for the 2019 class; he selected the Vols ahead of schools including Auburn, Florida, LSU, Penn State and Wisconsin.

With Lampley’s commitment, Pruitt and the Vols now have a second player in their 2019 class. The only player in the class who had previously committed was four-star athlete Te’Cory Couch of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna.
