Derrick Henry, Sony Michel respond after Greg Bryant’s death

MARK J. REBILAS/USA TODAY SPORTS

UAB running back Greg Bryant, who began his college career at Notre Dame, was declared brain dead Sunday after being found shot in a car along Interstate 95 near West Palm Beach, Fla.

Like Bryant, Derrick Henry is a native Floridian and also was in the 2013 recruiting class. Henry shared a picture of the two at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2013. Henry also gives a shoutout to recently deceased running back Altee Tenpenny, who was a Henry friend.

Bryant, who was 21, played his high school football at powerhouse Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage and was a high school teammate of Georgia running back Sony Michel. Michel posted his respects to Bryant.
