In honor of the NFL Network counting down its Top 100 players, an annual series revealing the top 100 players in the league as voted on by their peers, GN takes a look at the best Georgia players in the NFL.
Forty-eight former Bulldogs are on NFL rosters as of May 16, 2018. Here is a look at the ten best former Georgia Bulldogs currently in the NFL.
Let the debate begin.
10. Leonard Floyd, outside linebacker, Chicago Bears
Floyd played for three-years at the University of Georgia. In over 30 career games Floyd racked up an impressive 17 quarterback sacks.
Floyd entered the 2016 NFL Draft and was selected by the Bears with the ninth-coverall selection.
Floyd is still very early in his NFL career, having played in just 22 games to date, but his talent is apparent. Floyd has recorded 47 tackles and 11.5 sacks in that short time frame and will be an important defensive piece for the Bears to turn things around in 2018.
9. Alec Ogletree, linebacker, New York Giants
Ogletree played both safety and linebacker during his time in Athens from 2010-2012.
Ogletree was selected by the Rams in the first-round, 30th overall selection, of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Ogletree started 67 games for the Rams organization in both St. Louis and Los Angeles compiling over 350 tackles, six interceptions and 5.5 quarterback sacks in those contests.
Ogletree was traded to the Giants on March 7, 2018 in exchange for two draft picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Ogletree should move right into a starting role in New York and will serve as a veteran influence on the Giants’ third-round selection in the 2018 draft, Lorenzo Carter, who is also a Georgia alum.
