There was about a 56 percent win rate if you wager on teams that are coming off a loss to win their next game. This strategy is often used in NBA and NHL playoffs and it seems to work.

Sometimes it’s hard to pick a winner in the NFL and it can often feel like it’s more productive to just figure out which side you like and bet the opposite way. If you look at the latest NFL standings you’ll see that there aren’t that many elite teams in the league this season. Out of the 32 teams, twenty-one of them are either sitting at .500 or are a game above or below the equator.

Preseason favorites, the New England Patriots seem to be all offense and no defense, while the Pittsburgh Steelers have a quarterback that looks washed out. The Seattle Seahawks offensive line is just as bad.
