When your school knocks Duke out of the NCAA tournament, you celebrate. Just ask Jadeveon Clowney.
Clowney, the former South Carolina star who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, had one of the best seats in the house Sunday in Greenville, South Carolina and enjoyed every minute of the seventh-seeded Gamecocks’ 88-81 upset of second-seeded Duke in second-round East Regional action.
Clowney was seen singing along with Gamecocks fans after the unexpected victory in a video posted by 247Sports. And Charlotte Observer columnist Scott Fowler noticed that Clowney was one of several Gamecocks fans hugging South Carolina coach Frank Martin after the game.

Clowney’s presence at the game also caught the attention of one of South Carolina’s greatest basketball players, Hall of Famer Alex English.

The Gamecocks, who had not won an NCAA tournament game since 1973, have advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in the event’s modern format.
Don’t be surprised if Clowney makes another appearance at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, when South Carolina meets Baylor with a regional final spot on the line.
