The NFL can’t get away with underrating Texas A&M receiver Christian Kirk – at least without drawing the wrath of an Aggies’ quarterback.
The NFL’s Twitter account ranked its top 50 college football prospects of the 2017 season, listing Kirk at No. 42.

Texas A&M quarterback Jake Hubenak doesn’t see it that way.
Hubenak responded to the NFL on Twitter, and there’s no question the quarterback is in Kirk’s corner.

Last season, as a sophomore, Kirk caught 83 passes for 928 yards. Many draft analysts project him as a first-round pick should he declare for the draft in 2018.
Whether Kirk heads into the draft next year or not, though, it’s clear that he has the backing of Hubenak in College Station. Hubenak will continue battling for the starting quarterback job with redshirt freshman Nick Starkel and true freshman Kellen Mond during summer camp.
