The first week after National Signing Day has been a good one for Matt Luke and Ole Miss, and although it’s still quite early, the Rebels’ 2019 class is building momentum.
Three-star cornerback Jalen Jordan committed to the Rebels for the 2019 class Monday, announcing his decision on Twitter.

Jordan (5 feet 10, 175 pounds), from Lake Cormorant (Miss.) High, committed within a week of receiving his offer from Ole Miss; it was his first offer from a Power Five school. Lake Cormorant is about 25 miles south of Memphis.
Jordan is the third 2019 commitment for Ole Miss in the past week, following a pair of junior college teammates from Northwest Mississippi CC. Those players, wide receiver JaVonta Payton and defensive end Tariqious Tisdale, both committed to the Rebels on Thursday.
Ole Miss now has eight commitments for 2019, a figure exceeded nationally only by Miami; all eight of the Rebels’ pledges are from in-state players. Although only running back Jerrion Ealy is ranked four stars or higher, that’s enough – for now – to boost the Rebels into fourth place in the 247Sports composite rankings for 2019.
