Three-star linebacker James Miller likes to hit.
“I feel like I have a little old school, nasty linebacker inside of me,” Miller told GN. “I’m a linebacker that can hit you, and I can also run from sideline to sideline and hit you.”
With more than 15 offers, including three recent ones from SEC schools, Miller is still in the process of figuring things out in his recruitment.
“Right now, I really don’t have any favorites,” Miller said. “I’m just trying to see which school I like the most right now.”
Miller (6 feet 1, 225 pounds), from Seffner (Fla.) Armwood in the Tampa suburbs, has been offered by, among others, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Oregon and Iowa.
“I don’t mind leaving home, but I do want a good relationship with the coaches,” Miller said regarding what he’s looking for in a school. “I’d also like an opportunity for some early playing time.”

Miller has been offered by Kentucky, LSU and South Carolina since March 7, and made an unofficial visit to LSU last week. He chose to visit LSU instead of Florida.
“I’ve been talking to Florida and I was going to go up there for a visit, but I picked to go to LSU instead,” he said. “I can go to Florida anytime because they are right up the road.”
In addition to the SEC programs, Miller has been offered by UCF, Indiana, Iowa and Oregon since the start of 2017.
