Is Arkansas coach Bret Bielema on the hot seat? Based on the words of his athletic director, it doesn’t sound like it.
Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long told reporters Wednesday he is “100 percent behind” the fifth-year coach.

Bielema has come under pressure from some Razorbacks fans after his initial progress – from three wins in 2013 to seven in 2014 to eight in 2015 – appeared to stagnate in last season’s 7-6 campaign.
But Long appeared to give Bielema his solid backing.
“Sure, we want to win a few more games,” Long said. “There’s nobody that wants to win more games than Bret Bielema.”
In June, Long said Bielema was not on the hot seat this season.
Arkansas opened the season by defeating FCS program Florida A&M 49-7, a game marked by a standout rushing performance from true freshman Chase Hayden. The Razorbacks face a tougher test this Saturday against No. 23 TCU.
