Jim Kelly thinks highly of his nephew Chad Kelly.

Jim Kelly, the NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, seemed to write Saturday on Instagram that any NFL executive doubting Chad Kelly, the former Ole Miss quarterback, are making a mistake.

“Just an FYI for all NFL executives. Just because of a couple set backs , never count a Kelly out,” Jim Kelly wrote. “Ask any coach that coached him, his work ethic is unmatched. He will be back stronger than ever. Bet on it.”

Chad Kelly reportedly has not been viewed highly by many NFL front offices and most mock drafts project him as a late-round pick at best who could go undrafted.

After tearing his ACL and meniscus last November, Chad Kelly suffered a wrist injury earlier this month at Ole Miss’ pro day, which required surgery. Overall, he has had a limited opportunity to work out in front of scouts.

Chad Kelly also has had several off-field incidents, which reportedly have been seen as red flags for at least some teams.

Chad Kelly threw for 6,800 yards and 50 touchdowns during his two seasons at Ole Miss, all while breaking numerous records.

Jim Kelly played for the Buffalo Bills during his time in the NFL.
