Johnny Football is now Johnny College.
Manziel, the former Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman winner, is back taking classes at the university this semester.
Manziel’s name appears in Texas A&M’s online student directory. He is listed as a senior recreation, park and tourism sciences major with 90-plus hours.
The Dallas Morning News first reported the story Monday after a Texas A&M student posted a screenshot on Twitter of Manziel’s reply to a class discussion board thread on Twitter.

“My name is Johnny. I am originally from Tyler, Texas but I also call Kerrville, TX home,” Manziel wrote. “I enjoy most sports but my favorites are football and golf. I am an RPTS major and have been out of school a couple of years but I’m trying to get back on track so I can graduate.”
TexAgs.com reports that Manziel will be taking only online classes this fall while living in Los Angeles.

Manziel originally left Texas A&M following the 2013 season, his third year on campus. He won the Heisman as a redshirt freshman in 2012.
Manziel, who most recently has been in the news for partying and a series of off-field issues, currently is an NFL free agent after he was released by the Cleveland Browns this past March following his second NFL season.
