Ever wanted to pick up Florida tickets directly from a sort-of-kind-of-almost Heisman candidate? Thursday might be your lucky day.
Florida punter Johnny Townsend will be passing out student tickets Thursday afternoon at Gate 13 of the ticket office ahead of Saturday’s matchup against Texas A&M at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
The source of the news? Townsend himself.
Come see me at the ticket window!!! I'll be passing out student tickets for the Texas a&m game!! https://t.co/thqklscQQq

The always-entertaining Florida punter keeps finding himself in the news, whether it’s trolling LSU fans, asking athletic director Scott Stricklin for an excuse note from practice or drawing Twitter support for a run at the Heisman.
While that Heisman bid remains a long-long-long-long-long shot, Townsend easily leads the nation with a booming 48.8 yards per punt, which should place him firmly in contention for the Ray Guy Award. Townsend’s punting average is a yard and a half ahead of the next-closest challenger, Trevor Daniel of Tennessee.
