A three-star defensive tackle for Tampa Plant High School who has also seen time at several other positions, he stands 6-feet-4 and 256 pounds.
The Gators missed out on a second-generation prospect. Other SEC teams who had offered Culpepper included Alabama, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Brad Culpepper started for the Gators at the beginning of the Steve Spurrier era in Gainesville before beginning a nine-year career in the NFL. In more recent years, he’s been noted for his appearances on the CBS reality series Survivor.
