Kentucky makes jump up latest SEC Power Rankings after 4th win

14. Arkansas (1-3)

Last week’s ranking: 14

Last week’s result: Lost to Auburn 34-3

Arkansas quarterback Ty Storey was 13-of-31 for 141 yards and one interception as the Razorbacks only converted 3-of-17 third downs. Arkansas managed to gain just 290 yards of total offense in the loss.

This week: vs. Texas A&M in Dallas, 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

13. Vanderbilt (2-2)

Last week’s ranking: 12

Last week’s result: Lost to South Carolina 37-14

The Commodores put together back-to-back scoring drives in the first half to cut the South Carolina lead to three, but were 2-of-14 on third downs the remainder of the game. Quarterback Kyle Shumer was 18-of-38 for 180 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

This week: vs. Tennessee State, 4:00 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

12. Tennessee (2-2)

Last week’s ranking: 11

Last week’s result: Lost to Florida 47-21

The Vols had six turnovers, but managed to find 18 second-half points in the loss. Madre London and Jeremy Banks scored second half rushing touchdowns on successful long drives for Tennessee.

This week: at Georgia, 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

11. Ole Miss (3-1)

Last week’s ranking: 10

Last week’s result: Defeated Kent State 38-17

Jordan Ta’Amu threw for 442 yards and two touchdowns while also running for another. The Golden Flashes only trailed 21-17 midway through the third quarter before the Rebels pulled away.

This week: at LSU, 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

10. Florida (3-1)

Last week’s ranking: 13

Last week’s result: Defeated Tennessee 47-21

Florida forced six turnovers and held the Vols to 364 total yards of offense. The Gators also rushed for 209 yards in the game, averaging 5.9 yards a carry.

Felipe Franks accounted for four touchdowns, finding three different receivers on his three passing touchdowns.

This week: at Mississippi State, 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

9. Missouri (3-1)

Last week’s ranking: 8

Last week’s result: Lost to Georgia 43-29

The Tigers had four rushing touchdowns from three different running backs, including one from quarterback Drew Lock, who added 221 yards passing. The Tigers managed a 4.6 yards per rush average against a very good Bulldogs defense.

This week: Off.

8. South Carolina (2-1)

Last week’s ranking: 9

Last week’s result: defeated Vanderbilt 37-14

Gamecocks quarterback Jake Bentley threw for 261 yards and a touchdown while running back Rico Dowdle added 112 yards and score on the for South Carolina.

This week: at Kentucky, 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

7. Texas A&M (2-2)

Last week’s ranking: 6

Last week’s result: Lost to Alabama 45-23

The Aggies defense was the first to hold Alabama under 50 points this season and did so by limiting Alabama to 109 yards rushing. Kellen Mond was 16-of-33 for 196 yards and one touchdown while rushing 18 times for 98 yards and a touchdown.

This week: vs. Arkansas in Dallas, 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

6. Mississippi State (3-1)

Last week’s ranking: 5

Last week’s result: Lost to Kentucky 28-7

Nick Fitzgerald was 16-of-32 for 145 yards and rushed 16 times for 20 yards and a touchdown. The Bulldogs managed only 201 yards of total offense against the Wildcats.

This week: vs. Florida, 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
