Georgia could’ve gone through conditioning Friday for one last time before the start of the spring practice. Instead, the Bulldogs went bowling.
When the Georgia players showed up prepared to go through workouts out on the practice fields, coach Kirby Smart surprised the team with the day of fun.

“All right, guys, listen to me now,” Smart said. “I don’t know how many of y’all know anything about bowling, but we’re about to go bowling. Go get on the buses, we’re going bowling.”
The team went to Showtime Bowling Center in Athens, where they bowled alongside kids from a local Boys and Girls Club.
During Mark Richt’s time as coach, the Bulldogs often would have a day off to go swimming at the Ramsey Center on campus during fall camp in August.
Last month, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp pulled a similar move before the Gamecocks began their spring practice. Rather than go through workouts, he treated the team with a Waffle House breakfast.
