LSU landed three commitments at its OL/DL camp Saturday.

The Tigers received commitments from four-star defensive tackle Dare Rosenthal and three-star athlete Dantreize Scott, both 2018 prospects, as well as 2019 offensive tackle Thomas Perry.

Rosenthal and Scott are teammates at Ferriday (La.) High; Perry attends Lafayette (La.) Teurlings Catholic.

All three commitments were reported by 247Sports.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron helped confirm all three recruits’ commitments by celebrating on Twitter with his customary celebration for when one does pledge to the Tigers.

Rosenthal and Scott reportedly told Orgeron and LSU outside linebackers coach Dennis Johnson, their primary recruiter, of their commitments, while Perry later committed on the spot to Orgeron and offensive line coach Jeff Grimes after receiving an offer.

Rosenthal (6 feet 7, 327 pounds), a one-time Alabama commitment, is ranked by 247Sports Composite as a top-25 defensive tackle nationally and top-10 prospect in Louisiana.

Scott (6-4, 210) is ranked as a tight end but is now listed as an athlete. He reportedly worked out at a number of defensive positions at the camp. Still, he is ranked by 247Sports Composite as a top-65 tight end nationally and top-70 prospect in Louisiana.

Perry (6-5½, 325) does not yet have a have a 247Sports Composite ranking, though that should change at some point.

In LSU’s 2018 class, it’s now up to 19 commitments and has a ranking of No. 3 in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC, according to 247Sports.

In its 2019 class, the Tigers have six commitments and has a ranking of No. 4 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, according to 247Sports. Two other commitments in the class also are offensive linemen.

LSU also received three commitments in a single day after some sort of on-campus event on two other occasions in the past few months – once in February and again in April.
