Ole Miss already has commitments from nine Mississippi prospects, including Jerrion Ealy and Diwun Black, who are both considered top-five overall talents in-state.
The 2017 and 2018 recruiting hauls for the Rebels were rough with all the uncertainty surrounding the program. Ole Miss finished both of those recruiting cycles ranked outside the top-30 in the country.
Now, a lot of that uncertainty has lifted.
Luke who had the interim tag taken off him in December, has currently assembled a top-10 recruiting class in the country. In fact, Ole Miss is currently ahead of programs such as Auburn, Florida, LSU and Mississippi State when it comes to current recruiting rankings.
There is still plenty of work to be done for the Rebels this recruiting cycle. With high-profile recruits such as five-star linebacker Nakobe Dean, (Horn Lake, MS) and four-star defensive end Nathan Pickering, (Seminary, MS) still uncommitted, Ole Miss will have the opportunity to hold that lofty position while keeping highly-ranked Mississippi prospects in state.
