Time to clang those cowbells, Mississippi State fans. You’ve just become the only school in America to pull off a rare sports trifecta.
Mississippi State is the only team in college sports to send a team to a New Year’s Six bowl game, the Final Four in basketball (either men or women) and the College World Series since the spring of 2013.
The Bulldogs’ athletic department drew the Twittersphere’s attention to that fact.

The most recent of those feats came Sunday, when Mississippi State’s women’s basketball team ousted Baylor to advance to the Women’s Final Four in Dallas.
In 2013, the Bulldogs’ baseball program reached the College World Series, winning three games before losing the championship game to UCLA. That team was coached by John Cohen, who now holds the post of athletic director (he replaced Scott Stricklin when Sticklin left for Florida last fall).
And, as Bulldogs fans recall well, Mississippi State reached the Orange Bowl against Georgia Tech after the 2014 season, with a team led by Dak Prescott.
